Strum&Sing uses your device microphone to support tuner and vocal pitch features. We also use Firebase Analytics to understand which parts of the app are useful and where the learning flow can be improved.
Strum&Sing may access microphone audio only to analyze pitch and tuning in real time. Microphone audio is not recorded, stored, or sent to our servers.
Firebase Analytics may collect app usage events such as which tab or feature is opened, when a practice activity starts, completes, or is abandoned, approximate practice duration, selected song or practice mode identifiers, difficulty level, strumming pattern, audio route category such as speaker, wired, or bluetooth, and whether actions like hints, replay, song search, or score sharing are used.
Firebase may also collect technical information needed to provide analytics, such as app version, device type, operating system version, and an app instance identifier. We do not use Firebase Analytics to collect your name, email address, lyrics, microphone recordings, or the notes you sing as audio.
Microphone audio is used to power tuning, pitch detection, and singing practice features on your device. Analytics events are used to understand app usage, improve lessons and practice flows, find confusing screens, and prioritize future improvements.
Strum&Sing does not sell your data. Microphone audio is intended to be processed on-device for app functionality. Analytics data is processed by Firebase/Google Analytics for Firebase according to their service terms and retention settings.
Strum&Sing uses Firebase Analytics, provided by Google, for app analytics. We do not share microphone audio with third parties for advertising or tracking, and the app does not show third-party ads.
You can disable microphone access at any time in iPhone Settings. Some tuner, pitch, and singing feedback features will not work without microphone access.
